About Beth

Beth is a classically trained singer but she was born and grew up in a Norfolk pub with a piano and a Mancunian mother who sang her way (loudly) through all the old musicals, on the way developing Beth’s versatility as a performer along with her eclectic tastes!

Whether it’s a trade show, a store opening, a restaurant event, or a private party to celebrate a special occasion, Beth can provide a magical background of live music, for the pleasure of your guests. She has performed at a number of private Christmas parties for royalty, at dinners in many of the City of London’s magnificent livery halls, in churches ranging from tiny country parishes to St. Paul’s Cathedral, and has given solo performances in major concert halls in London (The Festival Hall), Athens, Brussels and Washington, D.C. She has also sung with some of the top chamber choirs in London and the USA.

Beth has regularly performed as a recording artist on film and tv soundtracks, and as a backing singer on all 4 of the best-selling “Era” discs by French rock star, Eric Levy. In addition she develops and performs her own cabaret shows and is currently working on a show with the multi-talented Terry Saunders.

As a jazz and swing singer, Beth has just begun working with the marvellously professional and much sought-after jazz pianist, Eugene Portman, (www.eugeneportman.com) and his band and she highly recommends that you take a look at his website to benefit from his great experience and expertise in providing music for all occasions. One of the many advantages of using the team of Beth and Eugene is that, as both were originally classically trained musicians, should you wish for a classical moment (for example in the course of a wedding service), Beth and Eugene will be able to provide you with just the right touch.

Finally, Beth prefers not to perform to backing tracks as she thinks that the magic of live music is that it is … live!
